President Biden moved the deadline for states to make all adults eligible to get a coronavirus vaccine to April 19. To encourage employees to be vaccinated, American Airlines announced an incentive program that applies to all American Airlines Group employees based in the United States, including those at Envoy and Piedmont.
It’s been a year since the global COVID-19 pandemic began turning our industry and our lives upside down, and CWA airline agents have been on the front lines at stations across the country. Recently we had a chance to talk to some American and Piedmont agents who have been in the trenches, dealing with COVID-19 and other health and safety issues.
A total of 250 passenger service agents received scholarships from the CWA National Education and Training Trust CWA/NETT) in the past few months. The agents took advantage of the funds to pursue new knowledge and brush up on valuable skills.

Contract negotiations with Piedmont are going well. Compensation is coming up in the next round, so Piedmont agent Heather Hudson is joining Sen. Bernie Sanders Monday for a live streamed town hall about ending poverty wages at American.
DFW Envoy and American agents joined together in solidarity on July 11 to tell American Airlines it's time to end poverty wages and give all passenger service professionals a voice on the job.
